Present since the first season of the hit Netflix series, this actor expresses doubts about his future in the program and makes very sincere confidences.
While the exercise of promotion is increasingly civilized, it is rare to hear actors publicly express doubts about the programs for which they work. In this respect, Lucas Bravo’s recent speeches are an exception. Interpreter of Gabriel, main romantic interest ofEmily in Paris since season 1, the French actor has not hesitated to share his opinion on the direction his character is taking in the series… To the point of expressing doubts about a potential return.
In interview with TV Mag – Le Figaro for the promotion of the film Free by Mélanie Laurent, in which he plays the gentleman robber Bruno Sulak, Lucas Bravo expressed his reservations about Gabriel’s latest actions in the Netflix series: “I would like him to find a little panache”, notes the son from footballer Daniel Bravo, believing that the writing of season 4 was “a little archaic”.
“Everything is based on the lack of communication… Today, the new generation verbalizes, confronts each other, it no longer works on this side, we meet and we do not understand each other. People see this mechanism coming to kilometers… And I don’t want to be part of a cog that tends not to consider the intelligence of the spectators.”
After such a speech, will Lucas Bravo return to seduce Emily in the next season, currently in preparation? “It will depend on the scenario because I think I have covered it a bit,” affirms the actor to our colleagues. “I don’t really have any freedom and, as people are starting to give me some elsewhere, I’m getting a taste for it. Life is short. Filming for this series still lasts five months. Do I do I want to sacrifice them to tell something that doesn’t stimulate me?”
This is not the first time that the actor has been so candid in an interview, recently admitting to SheKnows that he no longer “understood” his character in the second part of season 4. “But we’ll see well I’m following Darren’s plan. [Star, le showrunner]”. Gabriel’s future in Emily in Paris is therefore pending. What is certain is that the series will return soon for a season 5, even if the release date on Netflix is not yet known. With or without Lucas Bravo, that still remains to be seen.
