“I regret not fighting back”

Leksand extended the winning streak beat AIK

Calle Halfvarsson has not been completely satisfied so far during the cross-country season.
And now the Swede is tired.
– I have decided not to be nice anymore, says Halfvarsson to the Norwegian Nettavisen.

The Swedish long-distance star Calle Halfvarsson, 33, had a tough start to the season when he was washed up and stripped of his podium in Finland’s Ruka. And in the mass start in Lillehammer, Norway, he was then forced to break the competition after crashing.

“Will not show respect”

If Halfvarsson is to be believed, there will be consequences for how he will act during the Tour de Ski, which is currently underway, as he is still critical of the fact that other skiers have not received any reprimands.
– It will be tough, but I have decided to be tough. I regret not being tougher and fighting back against the riders who attacked me in Lillehammer. I will be hard on those who go against me, says Halfvarsson to Nettavisen.

After the competition in Lillehammer, Halfvarsson said that he was no longer going to accept that the competitors pushed in front of him and more or less stood on his skis.
– If you show me no respect, I will show no respect in return. Then I will give again. That’s how it is, he tells the newspaper.

Kläbo’s answer

The Norwegian superstar Johannes Hösflot Kläbo takes the whole thing a bit more calmly, but is prepared in case they both end up close to each other in the track.
– I have to hope that we don’t end up next to each other. But if it is “kamikaze”, then it must be “kamikaze”, counters Kläbo.
