“I never reached my goals”

She was Sweden’s only alpine speed skater on the women’s side. Now Lisa Hörnblad chooses to retire, she writes on Instagram.
“I didn’t reach my goals but I’m proud that I never stopped fighting.”

Lisa Hörnblad chooses to end his career with immediate effect.
“My last four years were all about injuries and I fought back every time. Ski racing took my health but gave me unforgettable memories and friends for life,” she writes on Instagram.

The 28-year-old was part of Sweden’s Olympic squad in Pyeongchang 2018 and has also raced in two WCs; 2019 in Åre and 2017 in St Moritz.

Her best result in the World Cup was eleventh place in the downhill in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany in 2019.
