Young men in particular have recently become enthusiastic about sharing similar content on the video service Tiktok.
This is a new phenomenon in air travel, which is called “rawdogging” and “barebacking” in English.
In Finnish, the terms mean “naked sex”, i.e. having sex without a condom. However, in connection with air travel, the expression is not about sex, but something else entirely.
These passengers pursue asceticism during the flight. They see traveling as a challenge, where they sit in silence and refuse entertainment such as electronic devices and books.
In extreme cases, they say they don’t even eat, drink or use the bathroom during the flight.
