Inter Miami’s Finnish player Robert Taylor scored again as Miami downed Charlotte FC 4–0 in the Leagues Cup quarterfinals. The Leagues Cup is a tournament between teams from the North American MLS and the Mexican premier league.

Miami took the lead in the 12th minute on a penalty kick. Taylor made it 2–0 20 minutes later when he had time DeAndre Yedlin’s to the pass in the box and was able to place the ball in the goal when the Charlotte defenders focused on the Miami superstar Lionel Messi’s for guarding.

Taylor’s goal can be seen in the tweet below.

Messi nailed the final scores himself a few minutes before the final whistle. The Argentine has scored in each of the five games he has played in North America.

Midfielder Taylor has been in high spirits since Messi’s arrival: he has scored four times in the tournament that started at the end of July and is sixth in the goal exchange. The tournament’s top goal scorer is Messi with eight goals.

Before Messi, Taylor had scored five goals in 52 MLS matches. The arrival of the Argentine star can also be seen in the attacking game of the rest of the team. Previously, the team scored an average of 1.2 goals per match, which was the lowest performance in the series. Messi, Jordi Alban and Sergio Busquets after joining the club, the reading is 3.4.

“I came here to change Miami’s season, and that’s exactly what we’re doing.” We are improving little by little all the time. We are in the semi-finals, hopefully we will go all the way, Busquets said.

On Wednesday, Miami will face the Philadelphia Union in the semi-finals of the Leagues Cup. Miami is in last place in the MLS Eastern Conference, 12 points out of the last playoff spot.
