A choice of words that gets the Norwegian biathlon coach Siegfried Mazet to become enraged and now roars back at the Swedes.
– I hope the Swedes hear this message! When you’re second best, it’s boring. For us, it’s not boring. If you think like this, what do you think of Roger Federer, Michael Phelps and Usain Bolt?, he says annoyed in an interview with the Norwegian newspaper VG.
– The most dangerous people are those who say things like this, they are the ones who make it boring. If no one talks about this, no one would care because there is always a winner. In my eyes, it is those who think like this who should not talk.

Also the Norwegian biathlon icon Ole Einar Björndalen has spoken out in the debate. He now works as an expert at Norwegian TV2 and is on site in Oberhof, he also doesn’t think this is boring for the sport.
– It’s always good to have these. He’s good in that position too, so I’m not afraid of that. I am much more afraid of a dominant nation, it is much worse for the sport than a dominant person, he tells VG.
