As far as we know, Pia Johansson is single, but only she knows what happens behind closed doors.

Pia has a mother and a father and when Pia competed in “Alla mot alla” on Kanal 5, she opened up about the decision to stop drinking alcohol and about her upbringing, which was marked by her father’s alcohol abuse.

Pia Johansson about her father’s addiction

Pia has previously described how her father’s drinking has left a mark on her. In an interview with UNT from 2011, she says that her father’s alcohol addiction has led to her becoming good at sensing moods in a room.

– Dad was a double personality, he changed when he drank – otherwise he was lovable. The older I got, the more I could use my ability to read moods to avert conflicts, she says the newspaper.

She goes on to say in the interview for the magazine that as an actor it is essential to be sensitive and to be able to feel one’s audience. She thinks she could have been a very good spy, diplomat or salesperson. Quite simply, all professions where you build a relationship and must be aware of what signals you send.

In the premiere episode of “The stars on the castle” in SVT, the participant wonders Anja Lundqvist, 51, how the thoughts went behind Pia Johansson not having children. Then the actor replies that she longed to have a family for a long time – but a traumatic abortion as a teenager came to affect the future.

Pia Johansson on the traumatic abortion

It was in Skara at the end of the 70s that Pia felt sick and that something was not as usual. But two different tests showed that she was not pregnant. Despite the two negative tests, Pia felt that something was strange and chose to go into Skövde. There it turns out that she is pregnant after all.

She decided to have an abortion but the pregnancy turned out to be too late. She and her then-boyfriend had to meet with a counselor from the National Board of Health and Welfare.

The couple was given permission to have an abortion, which was required after a certain week.

– And now I have to give birth to this dead fetus because it had gone too far. I’m drugged during this time, or I get some kind of sedation so I’m a little lost, she says in the program.

Afterwards, she walked the long hospital corridor and was going to get home to Skara again.

– And then I just say: “But wait, wait, I forgot something, I just have to get something from the room. I have forgotten my child”. It was such a strong feeling that I had forgotten my child. So it was so clear that my child was left and I am walking away from it. And that I can’t pick up my child, she says.
