The next film in the “Avatar” franchise is eagerly awaited by spectators. And James Cameron shared excellent news with his fans.
Towards a new box for James Cameron ? The Canadian director is actively working on the rest of the franchise Avatar. After the resounding successes of the first two episodes (respectively first and third biggest cinema success of all time), the wait for the third part is high. And if you are one of those fans who patiently wait to discover Avatar 3the filmmaker has good news for you.
To the magazine EmpireJames Cameron has unveiled the first concept arts and more information on Avatar : Fire and ash. In this new episode, Jake and his family continue to explore Pandora and will meet new NA’VI peoples : Wind merchants and the ash clan. The latter should also be more hostile than what we have known about bluish beings, James Cameron having pointed out that he did not want to portray a Manichean world with the nice na’vi on one side and the human bad guys on the other. He thus promises “an adrenaline rise” with “daring choices”. Just that!
In this interview with Empire, James Cameron has mainly shared more information on the progress ofAvatar 3which should last about 3:10, like the second film. And contrary to what the filmmaker has shown us so far, the news is good: no report in sight for the feature film. “If we compare with Avatar 2, we have already made the double of shots completed at the same stage,” he said. The director even claims to be “a little ahead of the schedule”. “I had never known that before,” he said.
Good news therefore: Avatar: fire and ash should not be delayed compared to the initial date. Let us recall that it had taken 12 years between the first and the second film of the franchise, with several postpones. If the filmmaker manages to hold his schedule to the end, we should therefore see the third episode of the franchise on the date announced, namely on December 17, 2025 in France.
