The community in Diablo 4 often doesn’t exactly make a name for itself with its sunny disposition. However, players on Reddit are currently reporting positive experiences in the game.
What is generosity all about? On February 18, 2024, a “Diablo 4” player reported on Reddit about a positive experience in the game: He single-handedly made a few runs against Duriel in order to farm the coveted Uber uniques. After his own materials were used up, he spent a little time in front of the entrance to the dungeon.
As the user under the name “RobbieLovesMargot” writes, he was invited by one group after another to do joint runs against Duriel. His fellow players didn’t want any gold from him and didn’t even demand that he use his own materials to summon the boss.
With some groups he made more than 20 runs this way, says RobbieLovesMargot. This is a pleasant change from players who would pay dearly for joint runs.
However, the player admits that his “HotA Barbarian” – one of the strongest builds in Diablo 4 – probably played a part in making others want him on the team. Nevertheless, RobbieLovesMargot was very happy about the invitations: “This community sometimes surprises me.”
Players say: This should be the norm
How is this discussed? In the comments, other players report very similar experiences. Reddit user “Shertok” writes: “Of the 600 Duriel runs I did this season, I got about 550 exactly like this. Just stand around at the entrance as a nasty looking level 100 barbarian.”
“Straight-Base-4948” even says: “I get more [Einladungen] from Randoms than from my own clan. Hmmmmm…”
Players on the other side of such interactions also spoke out:
Overall, there seems to be a good balance between players who have an abundance of materials and those who can also lay Duriel – but those who have neither mats nor strength will probably have a harder time finding a group.
But even beyond Duriel, players report positive interactions in the game. For example, about fellow players who stop in the middle of important battles to revive fallen teammates. These are unusually good-humoured tones from a community that otherwise often attracts attention by complaining.
Reddit user magicmulder summarizes: “I’ve always been happy with the interactions in the game. Reddit is full of people who complain all the time.”
How is your experience? Do you like joining forces with random people, or are you annoyed by “begging” barbarians? Is your Sorc constantly left outside the entrance? Please let us know in the comments.
