Director Zack Snyder reported in an interview at gamescom that he got into Fortnite – along with his son. His son didn’t like it, but Snyder is all the more immersed in the game.
A clip with an interview was posted on Twitter on August 23 by IGN. The director of Zack Snyder’s Justice League chats to IGN about Fortnite at gamescom. Snyder says he’s quite immersed in the game.

Zack Snyder plays character from Rick and Morty in Fortnite
This is how Zack Snyder dived into Fortnite: In the interview, which was posted as a clip on X (formerly Twitter), Zack Snyder talks about the game he’s totally immersed in. He got into Fortnite with his son. He wanted to play with him, but his son didn’t like the game.
So Snyder ended up playing alone. “I fell down a bad rabbit hole with Fortnite in the sense that I dug pretty deep,” Snyder said.
In the interview he is then asked about his playing style. He’s playing Fortnite without building. As a character he chose Meeseeks from Rick and Morty for himself.
How is the community reacting? On X there are over 100 comments under the post. A few users are posting memes from the Rick and Morty series. User Lautaro appears to be referring to the rabbit hole described by Snyder, writing, “We’ve all been there.”
A few users write that he is (now) their favorite director. Others comment that they also gamble with their children.
