Armand Duplantis won again in the Diamond League.
But after the new victories, he was clearly critical.
– I don’t want to complain too much, he says to SportExpressen.
With a little effort and trouble succeeded Armand Duplantis once again win a pole vault competition and extend his winning streak. The Swedish world star had problems at both 5.91 and 6.01 with tears but still managed to win the Diamond League competition in Oslo.

After another victory, however, Mondo was clearly critical of the competition in Oslo.
– I feel perfectly fine. I don’t want to complain too much. I’m winning again, but I had problems with my approach. But I won’t complain too much. I know I’m in good shape and can jump really high right now, he says to SportExpressen.

“It’s tough”
Armand Duplantis then elaborates on what went wrong and why he could not perform more than “only” 6.01 in Norway.
– During the last years in Oslo, I have had problems with the approach, he says to the evening newspaper.
– But I love competing here. The audience is absolutely incredible. I still get good energy. But it’s tough.

Duplantis feels that the course in Oslo is different from all other pole vault courses and that is why he was pushed by his competitors.
– It’s a little softer, I don’t get the same response from the track, the last steps in. And the approach is everything. It becomes more difficult if you don’t have the same rhythm on the track, says Mondo in the interview.
– The track is a little too soft at the end, I don’t get in as I want. I’ve always had a bit of a problem with the approach here. It is what it is.
