Former Overwatch pro Félix “xQc” Lengyel (26) is one of the biggest streamers on Twitch. He often streams for several hours a day, so there doesn’t always seem to be time for a private life off-camera. Now he tried to explain his relationship chaos to his viewers and used a weird gaming metaphor.
What was that relationship? Since 2021, xQc has been in a relationship with streamer Sammy, aka Adeptthebest. In September 2022, he made the split public, despite their request for privacy, which led to a very public argument.
As it turned out, xQc’s expensive luxury sled was registered on Adept because he doesn’t have a driver’s license himself. In a Nov. 15 stream, xQc responded to a post about unclear ownership of his car and attempted to explain his relationship situation.
Ex-girlfriend apparently had access to credit cards
What post was it about? The post xQc was responding to was a photo that Adept had posted of one of his cars. Numerous reddit users scoffed at the fact that his ex-girlfriend owned his cars but couldn’t afford the repair costs.
xQc responded by stating that it had already blocked its credit cards. The streamer asked if that made him a bad person. A clip of this statement found its way back to the LivestreamFail subreddit, the largest streaming community on reddit.
On the subreddit, xQc came across the recording the following day and attempted to explain the situation.
How did xQc react? The streamer seems increasingly frustrated with the cycle of fighting rumors over and over again, only for new speculation and ridicule to spring up beneath his reactions.
i will be honest I already had one of them banned because… I’m done. You know what? I’m not even gonna fight that damn shit anymore. I’m done fighting this.
Having struggled to remain neutral to positive so far, xQc has had enough of going on the defensive, the streamer said.
I’m done defending. I’m fucking done… you know what? I’m done being the fucking neutral/positive force. OK? I never was. I will never be. OK? I tried to do my best in all situations. i’m over it, sorry ok yes i did this I do not care.
How does xQc see its role in the relationship chaos? Apparently, xQc doesn’t want to constantly have to justify how he’s dealing with his breakup. However, he also doesn’t want to be put in a position to hurt others.
At least that seems to come from the gaming analogy xQc ended the discussion with:
I don’t want to become a DPS (Damage Per Second). OK? I just want to play the game, no matter the role. OK? But right now I need a healer. I pick a healer and heal myself. I’m doing fine on my own at the moment.
Especially with the last part, attentive viewers of xQc could have pricked their ears. Because the streamer was not alone at all: at the beginning of November he confirmed that he was dating the streamer NYYXXII.
A phone call between the ex-girlfriend and the new girl leads to a breakup
What is the current status? The English streamer NYYXXII is actually over, as xQc has now confirmed. Apparently he had invited his ex-girlfriend Adept over to talk about the situation with his car and his new relationship.
Adept then accused him of cheating on her. However, xQc insists that there was no crossover between the two women, although the relationship appears to have been very close.
I said, “Okay, but I didn’t do that.” You could say it was a close call, I guess. There were two days in between, okay? And then she thought maybe I cheated on her. And I’ve got nothing to hide, damn it.
xQc then gave Adept her cell phone to show her that he had nothing to hide. However, she used the cell phone to call NYYXXII and told her xQc was lying to her.
The phone call is said not to have been the only reason for the split, but seems to have contributed to it. So far, neither Adept nor NYYXXII have commented on xQc’s latest statements.
If xQc doesn’t have to justify his relationship right now, it’s for not paying the moderators in his chat. In a stream with up-and-coming Twitch streamer Kai Cenat, he justified the decision and gave creative reasons that the mods should rather work out of passion.
