Polish Foreign Minister Zbigniew Rau met Pekka Haavisto in Helsinki today. The foreign ministers held a joint press conference.

Foreign minister Pekka Haavisto (green), he does not see that in the future Finland’s and Sweden’s paths will diverge in joining NATO.
Haavisto expressed his views on Friday, the Polish foreign minister Zbigniew Raun at the press conference he held with in Helsinki.
At the event, Haavisto thanked Poland for accepting Ukrainian refugees. Rau said that Poland hopes that Finland’s NATO membership would be accepted as quickly as possible.
Rau said that the current sanctions against Russia are not sufficient.
Rau is visiting Finland today. The foreign ministers will discuss, among other things, Russia’s attack on Ukraine, the security situation in Europe and Poland’s OSCE presidency.
