Glamor make-up, jet-black beard, full lips and a wild mane: this is how we know TV celebrity and star designer Harald Glööckler. The eccentric fashion designer is one of the most famous personalities on German TV. No wonder, because Glööckler knows exactly how to attract attention with his unusual look.

Regardless of whether you love him or hate him, one thing is certain: nobody forgets his face. Now the celebrity is speaking more openly than ever about his numerous beauty procedures. He actually spent this incredible amount of money on cosmetic surgery.

“I don’t cope well with decay”: That’s the tragic reason behind Glööckler’s cosmetic surgeries

TV audiences like to see Harald Glööckler as a bird of paradise, but in quiet moments the designer provides intimate insights that show that behind the glittering facade there is a sensitive, vulnerable person. In the RTL interview, Glööckler talks about the real reason for his numerous beauty procedures. His mother was unintentionally a deterrent example:

At the age of 12, I had to experience how my mother felt like she was 90 years older in one year. I saw this decay in her and I’m not coping well with this decline.

So the designer resorts to Beauty-OPS, “to stop the decline.” The fact that Glööcker attributes his operations to his mother’s “deterioration” makes fans sit up and take notice. The designer has spoken in the past about his fearful, violent childhood because his father terrorized the family. Glööckler’s mother is said to have died in an attack by his father when he was 13 years old. He spoke about the traumatic story on Kurt Krömer’s rbb show in 2022:

There wasn’t a second in my childhood when I didn’t have to be afraid that my mother would be bleeding on the floor or dead. At some point it came to a terrible end.

In the RTL interview, Glööcker reveals how much his cosmetic surgeries cost: “You can build a house there.” When the broadcaster asks more closely, he reveals a more concrete number: According to his own statement, he is said to have invested around 600,000 euros in his body.

The pompous designer no longer knows exactly: “I can’t tell you exactly. I’ve been doing injections for 30 years, I’ve been going to the hairdresser, so you have to add everything in.” So it’s no wonder that Glööckler proudly shows off the results of his efforts on Instagram:

But the XXL sum was definitely worth it: “This is an investment in my brand.” Without a doubt, the fictional character Glööckler lives from his extreme look. Harald Glööckler’s documentary soap on RTLZWEI was canceled after two episodes, but luckily the designer can currently be seen on another show. At the fashion competition show My Style Rocks Germany, Glööckler has to rate the looks of celebrities. The show is always there Monday to Friday, at 4:45 p.m. on Sport1.
