Sweden won against Portugal with a full 5-0.
But Daniel Nannskog expects more from a certain star.

After playing a draw against the Netherlands and barely winning against Switzerland, Sweden had the knife to the throat in the last group game against Portugal in the European Championships. A win or a draw would mean advancement, and it never got very exciting.

The criticism of the star

Sweden has been criticized for its efforts during the European Championships, and even the players themselves have been critical of what it looked like. But against Portugal it was a much more energetic Sweden, and after, among other things, two goals by Filippa Angedahl, Sweden won 5-0.

Now the quarter-finals await on Friday night for Sweden, where Iceland, Italy or Belgium stand for the opposition. Sweden enters as big favorites, not least considering what it looked like against Portugal, but Daniel Nannskog is not completely satisfied. He demands more from the big star Fridolina Rolfö.

– Considering that she is one of our world stars, I expect her to perform at a good much higher level than she does at the moment. I do not recognize her in this tournament and in this match. It’s time for Rolfö to show his true self in this tournament, says the SVT expert.

“A very good match”

Nannskog was, however, otherwise satisfied with the Swedish effort.

– A very good match from Sweden. From the first minute, they came out with the right attitude and grabbed the match immediately. I liked that it was good movement with many players who wanted the ball. I am glad that Stina Blackstenius got her goal. It will be important for her and for Sweden. Her self-confidence is needed before the quarterfinals, he says.

He was also extra happy for Filippa Angedahl, who convinced in the midfield for Sweden during the group game.

– She has been one of the better Swedish players in this tournament. Nice that she got paid for the good game she has shown so far, says Nannskog.
