“I do not need it”

Last minute The world stood up after Putins decision in

Linn Svahn will not train with the national team.
Now she talks about the decision.
– I do not need that sparring, she says.

It hit a bit like a bomb earlier this week. Linn Svahn has chosen to leave the Swedish national team, and will instead continue to invest on her own.

Svahn’s unexpected message

The sprint star accidentally injured his shoulder last season, and has been off the rails ever since. The 22-year-old believes that the noble national team was the best thing for her next season.

“I want to work tighter with my own team at home and set up a plan that is optimal both for my recovery from the injury and developed and motivating towards my future championship goals,” said Linn Svahn in a press release.

During this season, Linn Svahn has worked on her own to recover from her injury. It has given her new insights.

– I have managed everything entirely myself and I like to have my own responsibility and be the boss of my investment, she says to SVT and continues:

– Want to use the conditions that exist at home, they are really good. I have created such a good team, which I am so proud of.

“Not in need of it”

The 22-year-old admits that Sweden’s national team is one of the world’s strongest, and that she knows about the chance not to be sparred together with the very best.

– At the same time, I have the advantage that there are extremely many good skiers and many of those who are part of the national team are in Östersund. And at the moment I am not in need of the sparring that can be obtained at national team gatherings.

It is still unclear when Linn Svahn is ready to be on the starting line again. However, the star has previously said that she is aiming and betting on the World Cup in Slovenia next winter.
