Quentin Tarantino found action hit Top Gun 2 ‘fucking awesome’

On Cinemablend’s ReelBlend podcast, he said:

I don’t usually talk about new movies because I’m forced to say good things. But I have Fucking loved Top Gun 2. Fantastic. A cinematic spectacle. Didn’t think I’d see something like this again.

Tarantino said his biggest concerns were the big footsteps of Top Gun director Tony Scott. However, they were completely scattered. He especially praises the lead actor and director of the film.

The respect for Tony was in every shot. she stuck in every decision of Tom [Cruise]. [Regisseur Joseph Kosinski] did a great job. The movie is freaking awesome.

Tarantino is known as a harsh critic and film connoisseur with encyclopedic knowledge. His praise will go a long way to the film’s producers and many movie buffs. Top Gun 2 is a single success story.
