“I couldn’t fit into any of my pants”

I couldnt fit into any of my pants

If David Corenswet will be seen in James Gunn’s new Superman film in 2025, he will have big shoes to fill – or rather broad shoulders to fill. After Henry Cavill, who was always massively pumped up for the role, the next DC star probably has it also trained extremely hard. In the end, he even had to lose a lot of weight before filming began.

David Corenswet couldn’t fit into his pants because of Superman training

According to Comic Book Movie, the actor was recently a guest on the Manly Things (Sort Of) podcast. Here he talked about training for his Superman role. Due to the extreme muscle building, he initially weighed around 107 kilos:

When we started filming, I weighed less than 107 kilograms. At my max I was 107. I couldn’t fit into any of my pants. […] And then I slowly lost weight before we started filming. I started turning at about 103, 104 …I know I wanted this to be my excuse to see what it felt like to gain as much weight as possible. […]

Over 100 kilos of body weight with as much muscle mass as possible is still an impressive number. Corenswet is likely to be the superhero title Man of Steel So give it all credit.

After The Batman, the spin-off series The Penguin takes us back to the big city juggernaut of Gotham – and this time there is no trace of Batman. Instead, we follow Colin Farrell as the unpredictable villain Oz Cobb in a brutal gangster story that feels like a mix of The Sopranos, The Wire and Netflix’s previous Marvel series.
