“I can’t say anything else”

Peter Forsberg is currently very current with the hockey World Cup.
Alongside his job as a TV expert, he is forced to make a big life decision.
– It’s good to feel like you’re alive sometimes, he says to Expressen.

Again is the legend Peter Forsberg back in the service of hockey again. One of Swedish hockey’s very best players of all time has returned as a TV expert again.

Forsberg’s life

This time it is for Viaplay during the ongoing hockey World Cup. Besides hockey, a lot has also happened in “Foppa’s” life.

A year ago, Forsberg and his partner separated Nicole Nordin after being engaged and living together for 13 years. Both still live in Switzerland and run a shoe company together.

Foppa’s future

But recently Foppa bought a house in Jämtland for around ten million to get closer to the Swedish mountains. It really is an everyday life that is described as busy.
– I’m a bit back and forth – a bit everywhere. I have the kids every two weeks. The other week I was at the U18 WC in Helsinki and I travel around and do a few other things when I’m not at home in Zug. I’m not there that often if I don’t have the children, but then I usually make sure to work during the time I don’t have them. It can be a little anywhere in this small world, a little bit of everything is possible, Forsberg tells Expressen.
– Right now it’s a bit hectic with the hockey World Cup and other things in mind, but it’s good to feel like you’re alive every now and then.

Forsberg has had Switzerland as his base for many years now and still thrives in the alpine country.
– Yes, excellent. I can’t say anything else, he says to the evening newspaper.
– Right now it’s great weather there. The snow is still on the mountains, but it’s 20-25 degrees warm and it’s great. And everything works – it’s a superb country when it comes to infrastructure and everything around. It feels good and the kids are safe there.

But a big life decision awaits that will be decisive for the future. Because the separation with Nicole can lead to consequences for the divided family and Forsberg himself is unsure of what lies ahead.
– I do not know. It’s not just me who decides that either. We are divided on that, whether we should stay or not. We will see what the children think and think when they get a little older too, he admits in the interview.
– I don’t know how it will be in the future, but we keep it quite open, but I enjoy it and when I have talked to Nicole before, it has felt like she might want to stay down there too. No one has any thoughts of moving home now. It’s nice down there.
