“I can rent a storage room”

For over 30 years, Linda has been collecting Santas. Today, the collection is approaching 2,000 gnomes, but Linda has no plans to stop collecting.

– I buy around 60 to 80 plots from September to December, says Linda Petersson Klang in Efter Fem.

Taking a vacation to decorate

Picking out 1750 gnomes is no joke. That’s why Linda starts planning already in September and by mid-November all the elves should be in place. In addition, Linda takes three days off to prepare everything, she tells Halland’s News.

– I want it to be nice and in order, I don’t want to just throw it up anyway.

But if Linda has time to get the Christmas atmosphere to her liking, it will take all the longer. The goal is for it to be absolutely perfect.

– It takes about ten days before I get it the way I want it, says Linda.

And to get all the elves in order properly in the house in Falkenberg, some extra helping hands are needed.

– I put half my family to work to pick up boxes in the warehouse.

Santas from loved ones

Linda tells us that it is above all at flea markets that she finds her Santas. Others have been inherited from both mother and grandmother. It can be stated that if the elf crowd continues to grow in this way, additional space may be required.

– I get to rent a storage room, says Linda and laughs.
