“I can honestly say that…”

Leksand extended the winning streak beat AIK

Frida Karlsson made a big impression and took home the overall victory in the Tour de Ski.
Shortly after the finish, the Swedish star collapsed in the finish line and received medical treatment.
Even so, it seems there was something else that was actually slightly worse during the Tour de Ski.

After the unpleasant scenes that unfolded after the last stage of the Tour de Ski has Frida Karlsson now recovered and feeling well, at the same time she can look ahead to the WC in Planica which is coming up. But before that, there is time for a little rest at home on Swedish soil and in Sollefteå.

Back on home turf

There she visited the ski stadium and had to receive questions from enthusiastic children who, just like Frida Karlsson, ski lap after lap on the Hallstate terrain in Sollefteå.
– It’s great to be home again and it’s fun to be here and meet all the enthusiastic children who want to ski, she says to Tidningen Ångermanland.

After recovering from the collapse in Val di Fiemme, the victory in the Tour de Ski has been celebrated, a celebration that started already on the bus on the way to Munich.
– It wasn’t the smartest thing I’ve done in my life, but it worked, she tells the newspaper.
– But there would have been some blueberry soups anyway.

“It’s been the worst”

The blueberry soup notwithstanding, it is above all the Swedish food that the recently crowned ski queen missed the most during the time she was on the road. More specifically, the home diet.
– I can honestly say that the worst thing has been sitting and eating, Pasta, pasta, and again pasta as it is in Italy. I was so tired of it that it almost became difficult. That’s why it’s great to come home and eat home cooking. I really long for my mother’s rolled meatballs, says Frida Karlsson.

The next plan for Karlsson is to run the World Cup in Les Rousses, France, before the World Cup in Planica, Slovenia awaits, starting on February 22, where Frida will mainly focus on the distance races in the hope of new successes on the track.
