On Tuesday, Jomshof will be called to an interrogation, he says in an interview with Kvartal.
This – according to himself – after he shared two satirical cartoons critical of Islam on X on 28 May this year.
“It will be interesting to hear how the prosecutor reasons and why they choose to call me for questioning,” writes the Swedish Democrat on X.
Jomshof: Falls within freedom of expression
According to Kvartal, the two drawings depict Muslim caricatures – including the words “Rape Jihad” – which were first posted by a Pakistani critic of Islam living in Great Britain.
Jomshof says in the interview that he himself believes that this type of satire falls within the scope of freedom of expression.
On X, the Swedish Democrat writes why he shared the images:
“Which clearly highlights some of the problems our societies are grappling with today as a result of the very large immigration from the Middle East and North Africa” and continues:
“Regardless of how this story develops, I will not stop talking about mass immigration, Islam(ization) and the threat it poses to Sweden, the Swedish people, our democracy and all the values it is based on.”
Notified Åkesson
In Kvartal’s Friday interview with Staffan Dopping, Jomshof says that he is also temporarily leaving his role as chairman of the Riksdag’s justice committee.
– I have informed Jimmie Åkesson that I do not want to stay during this period,” says Jomshof.
