Hyundai unveils electric commercial vehicle developed with Iveco


South Korean giant Hyundaithe electric commercial vehicle it developed together with Iveco for the European market, called eMoovy introduced.

The statement made by the brand on this issue was as follows: Hyundai’s first electric commercial vehicle model, eMoovy, developed in partnership with IVECO Group for the European markets, was introduced at the IAA Transportation Fair in Hannover, Germany. Produced using Hyundai’s advanced eLCV platform, eMoovy will be offered for sale in the European market under the Iveco brand. The eMoovy combines Hyundai’s EV chassis-cab-based platform with IVECO’s cargo compartment. Meanwhile, the eMoovy is equipped with the power-electric system taken from Hyundai’s largest electric SUV. The new vehicle also has a maximum range of 320 km in the WLPT cycle per charge. In addition, it features an 800V system for ultra-fast charging, just like the IONIQ 5 and IONIQ 6 models. Offering an ultra-fast charging experience, the commercial vehicle only needs to be charged for 10 minutes to provide a range of 100 km.

eMoovy is also an important model in terms of safety features. The vehicle, which has larger capacity batteries compared to electric light commercial vehicles in the same class, comes with a smart battery management system (BMS). The sensors in this system detect battery information instantly to prevent malfunctions and maintain safety. BMS is also used in Hyundai’s popular IONIQ models and the premium Genesis brand.

The interior design of the eMoovy is based on Hyundai’s STARIA MPV. The cabin is equipped with driver comfort features and a large driving information display. The vehicle also features a variety of advanced driver assistance systems, including Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Lane Departure Avoidance Assist and Parking Distance Alert.

Equipped with an advanced 76.4 kWh battery, eMoovy also offers a vehicle-to-charge (V2L) function specifically developed for MPVs, providing electric power both inside and outside the vehicle. Offering superior comfort for both individual and commercial use, the vehicle’s ease of use and low loading threshold come from IVECO’s deep-rooted experience in this field.”
