Giving clues about the future of the N department, the Hyundai RN22e takes the foundations of the Ioniq 6 to a whole new level.
Hyundai, which has already managed to make a global impact with the Ioniq product range it is creating step by step, is watching at a completely different point with its design approach besides its technical infrastructure. The South Korean manufacturer, which took us 100 years ago with the Ioniq 6, the second model it added to the family, has already started to show the N cars of the future. The brand, which shared the technical data for 6 hours ago, announced the concept called RN22e in the same interval. Developed on the futuristic sedan model, the Hyundai RN22e also manages to increase expectations about the motor sports adventure that its brand may be involved in in the coming period.
Hyundai RN22e technical specifications
Sharing its infrastructure with the Ioniq 6 as in its design, the RN22e project is powered by two electric motors positioned on the front and rear axles. The maximum speed that this performance monster can reach is over 250 km / h, which goes down to the asphalt with a combined power of 576 horsepower and 740 Nm of torque. The complement of the vehicle on the battery side will be a unit with a capacity of 77.4 kWh. Hyundai’s development on the E-GMP platform, which it uses in its electric models, also makes this project powerful. Thanks to the 800V fast charging support provided by this platform, it is possible to achieve a battery charge level from 10 percent to 80 percent in 18 minutes of charging.

In order to make the car, which runs parallel to the Ioniq 6 in terms of numbers, a real racer, the differences in the design and some infrastructure elements have not been overlooked. On the outside, an all-new front bumper with huge air intakes, body panels and massive rear wing are a delightful fit. The wheel set, calipers and brake discs are also among the revised details with a focus on performance. In addition, artificial exhaust sound is transmitted inside and outside to create a real sports car effect in the vehicle. The fact that the torque transmission can be divided into front or rear with the driving modes is also a very serious factor on the driving side. We will witness the RN22e project, which is an important reference for Hyundai’s future, to turn into a real model in the coming period. It is also worth noting that the brand has given official approval for the Ioniq 5 N with this project.
