One of the fully electric car models with an assertive design. Hyundai IONIQ 5managed to enter the “Guinness Book of Records”.
On this subject, Hyundai Türkiye stated the following: “Hyundai’s award-winning model IONIQ 5 won the prestigious GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title in the “Largest Altitude Change” category by an electric car. While the record attempt was organized by Hyundai India, professional support was received from the Indian edition of the famous British automobile publication Evo. While Hyundai IONIQ 5 reached an altitude of 5,802 m for its record attempt, it also easily overcame extreme cold, one of the most challenging conditions for an electric car. The journey started at Umling La in Leh Ladakh, the highest driving point in India i.e. 5,799 m above sea level. Covering 4,900 km along the route, IONIQ 5’s record attempt ended in Kuttanad, Kerala, three meters below sea level, marking the first time an electric car has been tested in such harsh conditions. This extraordinary record attempt lasted 14 days and witnessed a struggle that attracted attention not only with the altitude but also with the difficult terrain and extreme climatic conditions. Seamlessly navigating various environments, from freezing temperatures in the Himalayas to steep mountain passes and humid coastal regions in Kerala, the durability, advanced technology and superior performance of the Hyundai IONIQ 5 deserved to enter the record books. “
