Hydrogen H2IT and Renael Lanciano H2 Incomune

(Finance) –

Spread the culture of hydrogen and prepare the local public administration to face the development of innovative projects in the area. It is the goal at the center of the H2COMUN PROJECT, born from the collaboration between H2IT – Italian hydrogen association And RENAEL – National network of local energy agencies. The initiative, which will start in February in Friuli-Venezia Giulia, will consist of an information tour in five stages throughout the national territory and will see participation not only of territorial institutions, but also of companies, research centers and local universities.

The H2COMUNE project

The initiative was born from the need to form decision makers and technicians of the local public administration on the use of hydrogen and its potential, in order to make them participate in the current initiatives in the area. In fact, the meetings will also serve to show off the activities present in the area to support the development of the hydrogen chain. In addition, the project will bring Political and PA decision makers to a greater awareness and, above all, knowledge of the challenges and opportunities of this energy carrier. H2incomune will land on February 25 in Udine in Friuli-Venezia Giulia, with the first event organized thanks to the support of the local Energy Agency Ape FVG, coordinator of the Renael hydrogen table. The five-stage tour will also touch the regions of Lombardy, Puglia, Tuscany and Emilia-Romagna in the following months.

The initiative is possible thanks to the collaboration and active support of local energy agencies, but also counts on the contribution of research centers, universities and local companies. Each event will be composed of a popular part with the presentation of the projects of companies, entities and research centers and universities, followed by a part of comparison with a moment dedicated to discussion and one to networking.

The Italian scenario and the recent national hydrogen strategy

Hydrogen today represents one of the key energy carriers for the decarbonisation of the hard-to-abroad and mobility industry. Aware of this, the Italian government has allocated more than 3 billion euros to the PNRR funds for the development of the sector. In particular, 500 million have been assigned to the development of Hydrogen Valley, territorial ecosystems dedicated to the production and consumption of hydrogen, to which another 90 million provided for by the Repower EU program are added.

In the last two years Italy has been taking on more and more a leading role in the European consolidation of the hydrogen supply chain, as also confirms the recent presentation of the national hydrogen strategy by the Mase – Ministry of the Environment and Energy Safety. In fact, the strategy constitutes a fundamental stop for market development as it defines clear objectives and support actions to the application, the latter fundamental element to guarantee investments and progress in the sector. In a constantly evolving context, characterized by a significant flow of investments intended to support the hydrogen market, it becomes fundamental that the Public Administration acquires greater awareness and competence through adequate training and dissemination initiatives such as H2 INCOMUNE, as it constitutes an ally important for the grounding of the projects.

“The H2COMUN project represents a fundamental stage to support political decision makers and the local public administration to the opportunities that hydrogen offers – he said Alberto Dossi, president of H2IT -. Initiatives such as this allow you to confront directly with local institutions and to align with the staff so that it can deal with the energy revolution coming soon thanks to hydrogen. H2incecomune is not only an opportunity to enhance the territorial projects for the development of the hydrogen chain but it is also a great way to immediately involve the public administration that represents a fundamental partner in the development of initiatives “.

“H2COMUNE is a strategic initiative to accompany public administrations in the energy transition path and enhance the opportunities offered by hydrogen at the local level. As Renael, we believe that the direct involvement of the territories and the formation of public decision makers are key elements to build An innovative and sustainable energy ecosystem thanks to the collaboration with entities, companies and institutions, this tour will allow you to share, directly in the territories, experiences and concrete projects, promoting the growth of essential skills to face the challenges of decarbonisation “he explained Pierrgabriele Andreoli, president of the national network of local energy agencies.
