HVB homes are criticized for passivity when young people were exposed to danger

IVO states that the business has not been able to guarantee safety and security.

Young people have, among other things, started a fire at the residence and on another occasion were given nitrous oxide by outsiders. The staff did not act sufficiently, according to the investigation.

According to IVO, the operation has also failed to investigate complaints according to lex Sarah, which is supposed to protect those placed from abuse.

The authority closes the case but will follow up on the deficiencies in future inspections.
