The Finnish men’s football team will play their World Cup qualifiers at the Helsinki Olympic Stadium, the Football Association said on Wednesday.
Finland will begin the qualifiers towards the 2026 World Cup finals with two away games, meeting Malta on 21 March and Lithuania on March 24.
The opening of the home is June 7, when the Huuhkajat will face Spain or the Netherlands at the Olympic Stadium. They meet in the quarter -finals of the League of Nations, and the loser of the match will come to the Finnish qualifying block.
In the latter part of the June home hut, Finland will face Poland on June 10. Lithuania Finland will host October 9 and Malta on November 14.
The women’s national team, the Helmarit, also plays at the Olympic Stadium, meeting Serbia in the League of Nations on June 3.
The Helmarit was last seen at the Olympic Stadium in October 2021. Serbia is the last competitive match of the team before the Swiss European Championship, where Finland will face Iceland, Norway and Switzerland in the opening round.
