There has been a huge hype about role-playing in GTA 5 Online on Twitch for several years. Some big streamers were able to start their careers there. However, what is currently showing is what happens when the RP has an influence on real life.
About the situation: The former “Heroes of the Storm” e-athlete John Paul Lopez alias “KingCaffeine” made it public on September 25, 2024 on cheated on his partner.
The two had been doing erotic roleplaying on the streamer’s role-playing server, nopixel, ERP.
“It’s sad that it’s come to this”
This is what the husband says: “Hello everyone, it’s hard to say this, but Jillian ‘DivaJilly’, my wife of 15 years, Siobhan’s role player on nopixel GTARP and the love of my life, has apparently been cheating on me with Twitch streamer Moonmoon for months .”
KingCaffeine published a screenshot of text messages between the two.
Apparently the two had been exchanging messages for a long time, but a meeting seemed to have taken place at TwitchCon in San Diego.
KingCaffeine says he is very sad that it has come to this, after months of being assured it was all just roleplaying. He was told it was all about a positive attitude towards sexuality and “girl bossing”.
Cheated husband explains he found the messages when he wanted to make sure his wife was okay after she didn’t respond to him. He then came across other conversations in which Jill exchanged explicit messages with other men from the roleplay community.
Streamer justifies himself
What does Moonmoon say about this? The streamer commented on the allegations live on Twitch and also on his Discord server. He says: The woman told him that she was in an open marriage, i.e. a relationship in which those involved are allowed to have other partners. On Discord he explained:

On the stream, he reiterated that she had told him she was in an open marriage. But it actually hardly matters to him what exactly the woman’s relationship with her husband looks like.
However, KingCaffeine denies that he had an open marriage with his wife (via X).
It’s not the first time that real life and role-playing have mixed in GTA 5 and drama has rocked the community. You can read more about this here on MeinMMO: Trouble in the role-playing paradise – Why an incredibly successful Twitch project is really having a blast
