A hurricane hit the US state of North Carolina. Hundreds of homes and businesses were destroyed in the state’s Nash County area, while many surrounding trees and power poles were knocked down.
According to initial reports, 16 people were injured, 2 of them seriously. It was learned that the wind speed reached 240 km per hour in the disaster, which the American National Weather Agency described as an EF-3 type hurricane, and the hurricane was effective in the Nash County region at a distance of 27 km for about 30 minutes.
The images reflected on amateur cameras during the hurricane revealed the severity of the hurricane. In the images, first the roof and then the walls of a house were completely destroyed by the wind. While many settlements have turned into battlefields, damage assessment continues.
PHARMACEUTICAL FACTORY DAMAGED
As a result of the disaster, a factory of a world-renowned pharmaceutical manufacturer company in the North County region became unusable. As a result of the collapse on the roof of the warehouse section of the pharmaceutical factory, 50 thousand pallets of pharmaceuticals were damaged.
