Hunters from Monster Hunter Wilds with level 100+ disturb targeted fishing quest in low-level

A player from Monster Hunter Wilds reports on a frustrating multiplayer experience at a catch quest. The community jumps with advice and action and reveals how you can easily avoid such situations.

What is that experience? On Reddit, Doomclex reports that after completing the story mode, he wanted to complete a final quest before he planned to switch to the high rank. The goal of the order: he should catch a Yian Kut-Ku.

When he started the quest, he received reinforcements in the form of three teammates who had already reached hunter 100 or higher. The initial thought of Doomclex: Fantastic, it will be quick. However, reality looked very different.

Instead of helping to weaken the monster and lure it into a trap, they threw dung to the animal to scare it away again and again. When there were no more dung balls, they used barrel bombs to torpedo the order. A targeted catch was not possible.

The common thing: Even in the next two attempts to complete this quest, the trio was back at the start – as if they were targeting Doomclex. The victim could only master the quest when he blocked the three and tried it solo.

This not only expects Doomclex, but also to you according to the main story from MHW:

How does the community react to the report? With more than 4,900 upvotes and more than 630 comments, including many helpful tips on how such a frustrating situation can be prevented.

  • T4Labom explains, for example, on Reddit: “As a host, you have the opportunity to throw them out of your quests at any time.” The tip is flanked by a screenshot on which the corresponding option can be seen.
  • Gruncleshaxx adds to Reddit: “And set the search so that only AI hunters can help you.” You can define the fact that the group only consists of AI comrades in the settings.
  • Dullcow8691 does it differently (via Reddit): “I have set the maximum number of players on 2, on the one hand because I still needed the Palico territories and the multiplayer territories, and on the other hand, because it doesn’t feel like it is as if you are absolutely anesthetizing a monster 24/7, but that’s just a personal preference.”
  • ITSYUME, however, calms down on Reddit: “At least from my own experience (over 100 quests in a multiplayer, I have set my SOS so that it is always active) I can say that this is an outlier. So see it just as a strange, maybe even funny experience afterwards.”
  • Supeflyrobbe also writes on Reddit: “I can guarantee that this is about 1 % of the MH community. Most players are very helpful and friendly. You only were unlucky with a few slit ears. I hope you don’t startle from the multiplayer, because most of the community want to help, and the veterans are really good with information and knowledge.”
  • If you participate in the multiplayer with randomly allocated hunters, you should definitely switch off any type of mod that could have a negative impact on the gaming experience of your approved fellow rider. Because that can also ensure unnecessary frustration: first cheaper torpedo the fun in the co -op of Monster Hunter Wilds
