It was on Midsummer’s Eve last year that coastguards saw a man driving on a jetty before he set off on a wobbly journey across Lake Vänern outside Mellerud.
The Coast Guard took up the hunt for the man who had his lanterns turned off in the dark.
On several occasions, the man tried to hijack the Coast Guard’s jet ski and it was also close to him running onto land several times.
Finally, almost an hour after the man drove into a dock, the chase ended when he ran out of gas. It then turned out that he had 0.83 per thousand of alcohol in his blood.
