An ESRB listing has popped up for a game called Hunt: Showdown 1896, suggesting that a sequel to the popular PvPvE shooter is on the way. The rating is Mature 17+ due to “blood and gore” and “violence,” as you’d probably expect from a sequel to Hunt: Showdown. The listing also warns that the game will include in-app purchases.
Like the first game, Hunt: Showdown 1896 will be set in the Victorian era and will revolve around the use of “bladed clubs, clubs, brass knuckles, and pistols” to kill both monsters and other players, according to the ESRB. The listing goes on to describe some pretty gruesome things you can see and do in Hunt: Showdown 1896, like “carving off zombie heads” and “cutting off limbs.”
According to the ESRB, the game will feature a type of zombie that “turns into blood and viscera when killed” as well as another type that “wears human skin as a cloak.”
