The rescue ship Ocean Viking has rescued a total of 438 migrants who were in distress at sea in the Mediterranean during the last two days, the organization SOS Méditerranée stated on Friday.
The persons were picked up in international waters off Libya and Tunisia. Among those rescued are 32 unaccompanied children and nine toddlers, according to the organization.
The efforts took place in collaboration with the Italian coast guard.
