Led by the Swedish lawyer Lars Olofsson, 487 people from 43 countries are now suing the head of Facebook and Instagram, Mark Zuckerberg, in a so-called individual prosecution.
It is done in Luleå district court because the company has servers there. According to the lawsuit, providing your platforms to criminals should be seen as aiding and abetting fraud.
– Someone has to do it. I have been extremely disturbed that so many people have lost so much money and when they have gone to the police, they have been dismissed, says Lars Olofsson, who believes that 125,000 people have lost over 20 billion kroner in the mess.
