Ukrainians continue to leave their country after Russia’s military intervention against Ukraine on February 24. Ukrainians from cities where conflicts are intensifying are flocking to the Romanian border.
THOSE WHO DON’T HAVE A VEHICLE HAVE TO WALK TO THE BORDER ZONE
On the Romanian border of the country, thousands of vehicles continue to wait to cross the border. While the adverse weather conditions make the conditions even more difficult, civilians without a vehicle are forced to walk to the border area. Civilians, who walk for miles with their small children in their arms, are trying to cross the border on foot. Children who go from time to time in the arms of their mothers and from time to time have to walk try to reach the border by hugging their babies that they can take with them from their homes.
“WE PRAY FOR UKRAINE”
A student in Ukraine stated that he was trying to reach Germany by crossing the Romanian border from the city of Kharkov and said, “We don’t want war. We want no war in the world. We pray for Ukraine. My mother is in Kharkov. The center of Kharkov was bombed yesterday. We pray,” he said.
