This is stated by the consulting company HUI in its latest economic forecast for trade. This is mainly due to the fact that the war has pushed up fuel prices.
In 2022, the company expects consumption growth of 3 percent, the previous forecast was 3.9 percent. For 2023, the forecast is 1.3 percent, here the forecast was previously 2.5 percent.
HUI expects sales growth of 5 percent in current prices in trade for 2022.
The grocery trade is expected to grow by 8.5 per cent and the non-perishable goods trade by 3 per cent.
At the same time, HUI lowers its forecast for Sweden’s growth somewhat. GDP is expected to grow by 2.7 percent in 2022 and by 1.8 percent in 2023.
