There was a lot of confusion during the single mixed biathlon relay during the SC week in Boden. Because on the second and last stretch, everyone saw double when Stina Nilsson and Stina Nilsson competed at the same time.
Stina’s confusion
Namely, 30-year-old Stina, the former Olympic and WC gold medalist in cross-country skiing, who competed for the club Lima and 20-year-old Stina, JVM gold medalist in biathlon, who raced for Bore. But it then became even more complicated when the younger Stina competed together with Daniel Nykvistlittle brother to Emil Nykvist who is the boyfriend of the older Stina.

It’s safe to say that it got incredibly dizzying in the results lists and in the tracks.
– It’s so strange. I appreciate that they at least added a “junior” after her name in the start list. Then it will be a little easier, says the elderly Stina Nilsson to Expressen.
– At some point we actually got mixed up, so that you ended up in the wrong seeding.
Nilsson finished fourth
The only thing that could have made this situation even more strange is if the younger Stina drove in Bores’ first team and then competed with Emil Nykvist.
– Well, people probably had to think a bit then, Emil admits to the evening newspaper.
– It would have been a small dream team, answers girlfriend Stina Nilsson.

In another mixed team, we got to see a love couple compete together when Peppe Femling and Anna Magnusson won Monday’s single mixed relay and received the SM gold. Nykvist, who competed together with Emma Nilssontook the SM silver and it was Stina Nilsson the elder who finished in fourth place.
– It was really fun! It’s quite rare that I get to run a single mix relay, so this was fun, says Stina in the interview.
Stina Nilsson the younger and younger brother Nykvist had to settle for fifteenth place in the relay.
