Daryl could soon leave France again
A third season of Daryl Dixon has not yet been officially ordered. Therefore, you should treat the rumor with caution for the first time. After The Walking Dead spin-off already impressed with its France setting, an expansion of Daryl’s European trip to include additional countries sounds promising.
The Iberian Peninsula doesn’t just offer great new backdrops for the zombie apocalypse. Daryl would also have to adapt again to a culture that was foreign to him. And maybe then we’ll find out whether Spanish zombies actually take a siesta.
The Walking Dead and Spain: A connection to Rick’s brother?
For the first time in 14 years, The Walking Dead would explore Spain as the setting of the series universe. The comic, however, already took a look at the Spanish zombie apocalypse, which is directly linked to the story of the Grimes family.
The short-lived spin-off comic The Walking Dead: The Alien highlights the history of Rick’s brother Jeffrey Grimes, who fights for survival in post-apocalyptic Barcelona. Whether we will also see this character in live action is initially questionable. In the series world, the existence of a brother was revealed never mentioned.
For Daryl Dixon, however, the change of location means that the plot surrounding the Pouvoir des Vivants and the Union de L’Espoir could already be completed in season 2. In the new episodes, Carol is also reunited with her best friend. The duo could end up heading to Spain to find an alternative way to return to America.
What the work on season 3 also reveals: Fans will probably have to wait a little longer for the brothers in spirit – Rick Grimes and Daryl Dixon – to come together.
When does The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon season 2 start?
There is not yet a specific start date for the second season of the Daryl series. The start period has so far been announced as summer 2024. The launch should take place between June and September 2024 in the USA on AMC. In Germany, the new episodes will be shown again on MagentaTV.
