The Copenhagen police went to an Eritrean party in the afternoon due to a big fight. The police write on X that it is in connection with a demonstration at the party that unrest has broken out.
In a later update, the police announced that things had calmed down at the scene, but that patrols would remain for “many more hours”.
60 people have been arrested on suspicion of, among other things, gross disturbance of public order.
Police patrols have also had stones thrown at them.
In early August, a violent riot broke out on Järvafältet in Stockholm in connection with an Eritrean cultural festival. Many people were injured and arrested in connection with the unrest.
Last week, violence broke out in the Norwegian Bergen in connection with an Eritrean celebration. Police officers who tried to break up the fight were attacked.
