The probability that Donald Trump will be the next president of the United States is increasing.
“For the first time tonight, we believe that Trump is likely to win the presidency. He has an advantage in Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin. To win, Harris would need all three,” writes the newspaper’s director of political analysis, Nate Cohn.
Donald Trump has won the first wave champion state, North Carolina, and according to TV4’s foreign affairs commentator Rolf Porseryd, it is almost decided.
– In practice, we have a winner even if the votes are to be counted clearly. But it will be a big victory for Donald Trump, he says.
“Looks dark”
At 5:30 a.m. Swedish time, Donald Trump leads in the other wave-master states, except for Nevada, which has not yet begun to report the votes.
– Harris still has a chance to win, but right now it looks pretty dark. If she loses Pennsylvania, I think it’s over, says US expert Andreas Utterström.
Trump looks set to take home both the number of electoral votes and the total number of votes.
According to the New York Times, the ex-president is expected to gather around 300 electoral votes against Kamala Harris around 240. To win the election, 270 electoral votes are required.
