Huawei Introduces Electric SUV Wenjie M9 with HarmonyOS

Huawei introduced Wenjie M9, Wenjie’s new SUV model, at its event today. This electric car, which draws attention with its HarmonyOS software and spacious interior, was showcased at the event held in China. Wenjie M9 seems to be a candidate to set new standards in the luxury electric vehicle segment with its spacious interior, Huawei ADS 2.0 driver support technology and infotainment system. The vehicle stands out with its 3.1-meter wheelbase and a length of more than 5 meters.

Wenjie M9 comes with extended range

According to Huawei’s statement, the interior of the Wenjie M9 has leg room extending across three rows of seats. Offering more than 1 meter of stretching room, especially in the front seats, the vehicle provides a comfortable travel experience on long trips. Wenjie M9 offers two different engine options: extended range and full electric. The extended range version consists of a turbo four-cylinder dual electric + hybrid engine and its maximum power is 112 kW. In addition, it provides a range of 630 km on a single charge with battery packs ranging from 42 kWh to 100 kWh.

In terms of technology features, Wenjie M9 has driver assistance systems based on Huawei ADS 2.0, features such as adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assistant. Additionally, the vehicle has a 15.6-inch infotainment screen and a 32-inch rear seat screen. Pricing starts at 469,800 yuan ($65,000) for the extended-range model and goes up to 569,800 yuan ($79,000) for the full electric version. Wenjie M9 is initially offered only in the Chinese market.
