Huawei is strengthening its presence in the electric vehicle industry by expanding its strategic partnerships with major automobile manufacturers around the world. Following the Seres and Aito brands, BAIC is now preparing to launch a new electric vehicle brand called STELATO in cooperation with BJEV. Huawei’s trademark applications in China underline the importance of this new initiative.
STELATO attracts attention with its trademark and logo
The STELATO brand attracts attention with its trademark and logo that Huawei transferred to BAIC BJEV. The vehicle to be introduced under this new brand is expected to be a medium to large sedan in the C-segment. The prototype is planned to be introduced in the first half of 2024 and it is claimed that the price of the vehicle will be between 40 and 50 thousand dollars.
BAIC BJEV and Huawei manage the platform and production operations of this electric vehicle, which will be jointly developed. Huawei, on the other hand, will develop its own HarmonyOS system for the vehicle’s infotainment system and offers it to sales channels. This strategic collaboration is part of Huawei’s efforts to increase its effectiveness in the electric mobility sector and build a strong portfolio with various sub-brands.
