Lukas Hradecky represented by Bayer Leverkusen won the German Bundesliga championship last season without losing a single match. Leverkusen became famous for scoring winning and equalizing goals in the very last moments of matches.

The same pace continued in the opening match of the new season. Leverkusen beat Borussia Mönchengladbach 3–2 away from home. Scored the winning goal Florian Wirtz and the scoring time was marked as 90+11.

Granit Xhaka shot Leverkusen into the lead in the 12th minute and Wirtz completed the 2–0 goal in the 38th minute.

At the end of the first half, the home team got the ball behind Hradecky’s back, but after a long video review, the goal was disallowed due to a foul.
