“When we thought about how we’d get people to pay attention to the fact that we now have some condos all built and ready for sale, we thought this could do it,” said Glen Drummond, senior marketing and strategic advisor for S2E Technologies , the developer
“We’re down to about a dozen units left and there’s a desire for us to move them along.”
The limited-time Tesla promotion was a natural fit for EVE Park, an acronym for ‘electric vehicle enclave,’ Drummond said Sunday. Buyers cashing in on the deal will get a new Tesla Model 3 all-wheel-drive, five-seat sedan with their new home.

The price of the available condo units starts in the low $800,000s, Drummond said. A 2024 Tesla Model 3 base model starts at about $53,000.
The move to sweeten the deal for EVE Park homebuyers comes at a time when the London-area home sales market remains strong, with early signs it is rebounding from successive Bank of Canada interest rate hikes that pushed many buyers to the sidelines.
Drummond said the giveaway was a way to separate EVE Park from the usual flood of homes hitting the spring market.
“This is a time-limited opportunity. It’s in advance of the spring buying energy and get a jump on it,” Drummond said.

The west-end residential development, located near Westdel Bourne and Oxford Street West in Sifton’s West 5 neighbourhood, is an innovative project with environmental sustainability at its core.
The 84-unit EVE Park development has been years in the making, receiving the green light from London city council in late 2019 with construction beginning in 2022. The buildings are equipped with solar panels and its units have energy efficient appliances.
The buildings, which contain one-, two- and three-bedroom condo units, are also noteworthy for their design. The circular buildings have segments rising from one to four stores culminating in a five-floor parking garage equipped with electric vehicle charging stations.

The design and atmosphere of the development has attracted international attention, with CNN Style recognizing the project in its global ranking of architectural changemakers in 2024.
“I think people might have perceived that there is a sacrifice of aesthetics that went with sustainability,” Drummond said. “Part of what EVE Park was about was showing you can have a beautiful dwelling that is a source of pride to live in that is also highly sustainable.”
The EVE Park Tesla promotion can’t be combined with the other offer the developer has on the go, Drummond said, including a two-year, 3.39 per cent mortgage rate available through RBC’s green home mortgage program.
EVE Park buyers that miss out on the Tesla deal can still get behind the wheel of one of the luxury EVs, Drummond said. The community is launching a car share program with Teslas for residents called EVE Car.
“When we were doing research prior to building the project, what we found with a lot of families is they thought it would be great if they could give up their second car,” Drummond said. “The car share was seen as an attractive idea to allow people to go from two cars to one car.”
