A heist for leverage: Who is Jeff in Better Call Saul?
After Saul approaches old lady Marion (Carol Burnett) under the pretense of a fake runaway dog and manipulates her wheelchair, he also meets her son: Jeff (Pat Healy). But the two already know each other. Because Jeff looked familiar to “Gene” (in episode 1 of season 4) in his cab. Having lived in Albuquerque for a long time himself, he had often seen the famous lawyer Saul Goodman on billboards and in commercials. From Don Harvey to Pat Healy: Why Jeff was recast in Better Call Saul
The reason Jeff is no longer being played by Don Harvey is simple: as fan site All About Saul found out, the actor dropped the part because of it contractual obligations for another role (on the HBO series We Own This City). So another actor was quickly found: Pat Healy, with whom Bob Odenkirk had already worked in The Publisher.
