With the exception of Sabrina Ouazani, the other actresses in the cast of the film had no experience in this sporting field. To be able to shoot the sequences of matches and training, they were trained by the former player of the Blue, Aurélie Meynard. Each of the actresses followed targeted coaching for several months.
In addition to the training of the actresses, the director of A beautiful team had to imagine the choreographies of matches and work on each of the actions. “In the field during filming, we also had Corine Petit, who plays in the film, remembers Mohamed Hamidi with Allociné. With Aurélie, they prepared the group of girls to tackle each match with the boys who, too , worked on each action. Their days were very long because in addition to filming they had almost daily training.” A job that paid off on screen!
Synopsis – The Clourrières football team is deprived of finishing the season after the outbreak of a fight that went wrong. Weakened, the club is on the verge of bankruptcy. The coach sees only one solution to keep him afloat: form a new team made up entirely of women. A decision greeted with skepticism. This unexpected reversal of the situation upsets the pre-established codes and radically transforms the daily life of the families of Clourrières. The outcome of the championship as well as the future of this small northern club now rests on the shoulders of these footballers…
