How to recognize scam emails

Now Försäkringskassan is once again issuing a warning to criminals, who deceive people and pretend to be Försäkringskassan via SMS and email.

Robert Gustafsson at Försäkringskassan says in an interview with Sveriges Radio that fraudsters come up with new ways to deceive people every month. The emails and texts that are sent out often look very credible, but to a trained eye you can see that they are fake.

– It looks pretty good, but if you start thinking about the language, they use the words “dear customer” and “we hope you are well”. It is not a language that we normally use, Robert Gustafsson tells Swedens radio.

This summer, Försäkringskassan will make a brand new website with only tips on how to learn to recognize a scam SMS or scam email.
