What is the principle of the sock theory?
We owe this thesis to Phoebe Parsons, pilates teacher and creator of the FIT(ish) podcast, dedicated to fitness and health. On October 30, she published a video on her Tiktok account to explain in detail the principle of her theory. According to her, it is in fact possible to distinguish a person belonging to generation Z or generation Y (millennials) just by looking at their feet. “Generation Z exclusively wears high socks, while millennials always wear ankle socks”she explains.
Concretely, people born between the beginning of the 80s and the middle, or even the end of the 90s (generation Y or millennials), would be particularly fond of short, almost invisible socks, while individuals born after 1995 (generation Z) would prefer longer, higher socks.
In the comments below the video, opinions are divided as to the veracity of the theory, and rightly so.
