Among the many new features brought by Animal Crossing: New Horizons update 2.0, we find the kitchen. We have prepared a little tutorial for you so that you can develop your cooking skills with ease.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons update 2.0 arrived on November 5th. The friendly game with 34 million copies sold has been given a second wind thanks to this big addition of content which has had the gift of plunging us back into its happy little world. You will surely have noticed it, but your island is now profoundly changed, there are old and new characters, but also new objects, a whole new way of cultivating your vegetable garden and new merchants. In addition to all this, your avatar and his companions now have the ability to build and use a kitchen. If you missed this activity, no more excuses not to relaunch yourself in Animal Crossing. Unlock the kitchen
There are several conditions that must be met to be able to cook in Animal Crossing New Horizons. You must first have unlocked the application Creations + with Tom Nook and his workshop. Then, your Island must have at least 3 stars and that your house is equipped with food. Once these conditions are met, go to the Nook Stop terminal to buy the “Recipes Creations +“for 2000 Miles. Your Création + application on the Nookphone will then have two new tabs: main course and dessert, as well as a plan for a natural stone kitchen. You can then build it using 30 Stone, 10 Iron and 15 Clay.
Find new recipes
Once you’ve got your kitchen ready to go, you’ll need to unlock a whole bunch of new recipes. Therein lies the real progression in this new chapter of Animal Crossing: New Horizons 2.0. The “Recipes Creations +“give you 8 dishes to cook, but you can unlock more by going to Méli and Mélo’s shop to buy”Getting started in the kitchen“for 4980 bells. This guide will add eight additional recipes to your Creation + application. As for the rest, you will have to discover them as you play and in the following ways:
- Talk to a local cooking
- Find plans in the bottles by the sea
- Fishing
- Burst balloons in the sky
- Talk to some special characters (Porcelette, Robusto, Racine …) after having fulfilled some prerequisites. To unlock Robusto and its coffee, do not hesitate to consult our guide:
Find all the ingredients
If you haven’t read the Update 2.0 patch in detail, some ingredients requested in recipes may not be familiar to you. Indeed, the update also brought new fruits, vegetables and grains to grow.
